We provide services that are founded on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). ABA has been empirically validated as one of the most effective behavior treatments for those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. ABA is widely accepted and clinically proven to be one of the most effective methods for managing behaviors, increasing desired behaviors, decreasing unwanted behaviors, acquiring new skills, teaching appropriate communication strategies, and improving the outcomes of a person’s overall life.
ABA strategies that have been scientifically proven can teach a modality or form of communication, model and train appropriate socials skills, teach safety practices, teach independent hygiene routines, assist with how to appropriately gain attention, understanding and expressing appropriate emotions, gain an item or activity, and help learn to navigate the person’s environment, i.e., at home, work, school and community.
Strategies and assessments we utilize at ANBS include:
- Assessment tools such as the FAST, Vineland, ABLLS-R, AFLS, VB-MAPP, PEAK, EFL, ESDM
- Functional behavior assessments (FBA).
